Activities at the MDSCC Training and Visitor Center
The Training and Visitors Center (TVC) maintains a strong commitment to do outreach, and considers the first stages of acquiring people’s knowledge a fundamental period for the development of capacities, interests and curiosity.
This potential that we all have from an early age is what we, from the TVC, want to promote, since motivation in this area can lead to scientific vocations that finally will contribute to the knowledge of humanity.
This way we try to adapt each of our activities to the characteristics of our visitors, offering different types of experiences.
Astronomy Workshops
The astronomy workshops are some didactic experiences covered globally, whose main objective is to bring students closer to the world of astronomy and the sciences that study space. The workshops have an organizational structure that allows teachers to establish an action plan to make the most of the experience and achieve meaningful learning. Conferences
Depending on the speakers (always held by renowned professionals), thematic conferences based on space exploration and astronomy are organized, aimed at audiences with specific characteristics required by the speakers.

Guided Visits
Guided tours always take place inside the TVC. The basic structure of the visit consists of a presentation, in the auditorium, of the MDSCC video (20’) and another video (always shorter) related to the latest NASA mission in process.
Subsequently, a guided tour of the exhibition rooms is carried out, where emphasis is placed on the most significant and/or striking resources of the rooms. Depending on the duration of the guided tour, where visitors can ask all the questions that they want, this kind of visit has some free time so that our visitors can take a look at the points of greatest interest for them or also to visit our gift shop.
Free Visits
Free visits are characterized by flexibility regarding the number, condition (without age limit) and availability of time for the visitors.
During these visits, the presentation video of the Complex and an up-to-date video of NASA’s activity are played in the auditorium.
To make a free visit, it is always necessary to make a reservation, since the capacity of the TVC is limited.
