Este programa es administrado por el Centro de Astrobiolog\u00eda (NASA \/ INTA \/ CSIC). En \u00e9l se realizan principalmente observaciones de espectroscopia de las bandas  K y Q. El resultado m\u00e1s relevante del Programa Host Country ha sido la detecci\u00f3n, por primera vez, de la emisi\u00f3n m\u00e1ser de agua a partir de una nebulosa planetaria . Su modo de observaci\u00f3n actual es el de plato \u00fanico, aunque tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda colaborar con Apple Valley (el proyecto GAVRT) y realizar observaciones interferom\u00e9tricas. Actualmente el proyecto lleva a cabo los estudios de emisi\u00f3n continua de diferentes fuentes de radio, como la de J\u00fapiter. Uno de sus proyectos principales es el estudio de variables rayos X binarios, en colaboraci\u00f3n con la Universidad de Barcelona. Los rayos X binarios son asociaciones de dos estrellas con la transferencia de masa de una a la otra.
